[0.7.5] Case 1153426 - Sprites in Atlas won't load after Release+Resources.UnloadUnusedAssets()

Just wanted to notify that I used Unity’s Report a Bug tool to report this bug (Case 1153426)

The problem is that for Windows Platform, using Packed Play Mode, if a prefab that contains a Sprite that is in an Atlas is loaded with Addressables, then Released and Resources.UnloadUnusedAssets() called, there is a chance that on next load of that prefab, the Sprite will not show up.

Took 9 hours to figure out what the problem was and create minimal reproduction. Took another hour just to upload it.

(I believe this is a different bug than:

which I will need to continue finding the cause of. In that case everything turns pink not just Sprites that were in Atlases)

Rant: Can’t understand why bug report uploads are so slow. What are you taking from my harddrive?? The assets folder is just 4.5 MBs, the whole project folder is 400MBs. I am on 200/100 connection. What a painful experience overall.
