How well do you think you know Unity?
That’s the question that I made to my self when I started to create this package of 100+1 standard materials, and is the same question that I am asking you!
In this project I tried to put the limits of Unity farther from usual by experimenting with Unity’s build in shaders. That has as result to create materials that interact to light and to movement. But it is not just a package of 101 materials, it is an idea that urges everyone to use his imagination and think “out of the box”.
Use your own textures by following the structure of the materials and keep on experimenting while creating you digital enviroment. There are thousand of shaders around the world and this package will help you know how to use them when you want to make the difference.
It’s price is up to 95$ and it is now available in the Asset Store.
INFO:
A:This is an idea on how to use, simple to more complicated shaders in order to create abstract materials for any kind of model in your scene.
All 101 materials, are standards, meaning that by following their structure you can create your own unigue materials, using your own textures, so there are no limitations on what you can create and how.
B:All the materials that are provided break the order of a shader throught the textures that a shader needs, in order to work properly. All shaders that have build in Unity (from Diffuse to Parralax Specular) have been used to create different results that interact to light and to movement.(watch the demo)
The package does not include any new shaders. It includes 101 materials that showing the results of breaking the order of any kind of shader generally.
The options that you have are unlimited as you can use your own textures and shaders even if they are not included in Unity, to create your own abstract materials, for example this is a result for a water surface, created using the “S_Material 38” of the collection.
Here is an example of a material ( S_Material 63) that interacts to movement:
Here is the same material applied to a model:
(S_Material 86) material that interact to light.
In the collection you will also find 7 materials that can be used for your skybox. You can see an example in the first scene of the demo.
