Hi All,
Ive almost finished making my first iOS game , so Im unsure how to approach some things.
I want to make the game so it can be played on iPhone 4, 4s , 5. and iPad.
So far Ive only tested it on my own iPhone 4.
If Im going to test the game on each of those different type of devices, do I have to create a different unity project for each one or is there some coding I have to implement and what sort of things do I need to consider. Is it an easy or complicated process? I am clueless , can somebody please help me? Thanks
If you set the build player settings to iphone/ipad then it will be a universal app. You just need to make sure the UI fits in those other resolutions.
You can test this in the editor by setting a different display resolution in the game window provided your monitor is big enough.
There’s no need to make a new project for each unless you intent to release separate apps on the app store e.g. HD version or a lite version
Obviously you still need test devices to make sure the hardware can handle it and that UI looks good on retina displays.
Testflightapp.com is a good service that lets you send test builds to lots of people online and get feedback from them.
Thanks spinalJack , appreciate your help.
