1st-timer on apple i-phone. what should i do?

Hi apple unity community ! :slight_smile:

This is my very first post here.
I got an Unity3D app showing medieval places in 3D at the 1st person, that i use to target to small devices on 3 systems:

  • windows
  • android
  • linux

All this work like a charm and i think it’s time for those mature apps to get in the apple world.
I know nothing from the apple world ( i registered as a dev 15 years ago but… it’s long time ago :stuck_out_tongue: )

I recently bought an I-Phone 8 that i will use as a physical test platform.

My dev platform is windows.

So my first question is quite simple for you apple world developpers :

What do i need for running an U3D app developped on windows, on an I-Phone 8 ?
I didn’t even try to generate a targetted to IOs executable… so you see am a real noob :stuck_out_tongue:

I have only known to use Macs for iPhone distribution, but I did come across a post that outlined steps for publishing to iOS from Windows. You can find the links towards the bottom in this thread:

I managed to setup a catalina in VMWARE on a windows… this runs fine and unity executables generated for macOS run but without acceleration.

Targetting to IOS seems harder :confused:
The xcode project generated by unity on windows do not compile ( it has errors ) in xcode…

I still have to dig and wait for using 3D on my iphone8 :frowning:
