2 assets instead of 1

Greetings,

When I import a model from Blender into Unity, for some reason I end up with 2 assents. The second asset seems to be nothing. I can delete it and everything is fine. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Am I doing something wrong?

When I import the model, I simply have been dragging the blend file to the Project.

Is it a .blend1? If you have Blender set to automatically back up, you’ll get that.

ahhh. Never thought of that. Makes sense. Thanks for your quick reply.

Well, is that what it is? I don’t think just dragging a .blend in will generate that; you should have to open Blender from within the Unity project, and save, in Blender, before that happens.

You are correct. It is happening when I edit the model by launching blender from unity. I thought it was from the original import but was mistaken.
