2018.4.33f1 doesn't want to open (Not responding in task manager)

I’m new to Unity and I wanted to do the tutorial of Player Controlling (the one of the car and the obstacles)
I downloaded the latest 2018 version (literally 10 hours ago) and I created a new project… Unfortunately the editor never opened, I tried just an hour ago again and left it like 50 mins and basically it just stays on the “loading screen” (those colored lines with the Unity logo), also, the loading mini-window which shows information about what’s Unity loading almost ends in 30 seconds.

My pc isn’t low-spec and 2019 just loads in a matter of seconds, so I don’t know what could be happening.

I just can’t continue with the tutorial because I need that specific version and newer versions have bugs with the assets.

Any help is and will be appreciated

PD: Sorry if this isn’t the correct forum to post this, there are too many.

Still needing help :frowning:

Please somebody help me.

Try creating a new empty project and opening that instead of your current project. Also check what the editor log says.

If you’re launching through the Hub, Unity 2018.x doesn’t actually require the hub. You can launch a 2018 Editor directly (though I don’t know what happens if you INSTALLED it through the hub, I have always installed 2018.x versions outside the Hub).

Thanks for the response! I’m not opening any project, I’m creating new ones and I can’t open any (Its my first time with Unity and I don’t have any project with 2018.4)

If I try to open the editor directly, at least when installed it through the hub, it opens like another hub version which ends on the same problems so I can’t open them.

This is the another hub version I mean:

Should I install that version separated from the hub? If so, should I uninstall the hub one before?

EDIT: Well, looks like isn’t working by installing it separatedly either

Still needing help… :frowning:

Also, what I have to search on the log file?
It’s very big but doesn’t look like it crashes on the end or anything.
