After changing a single variable in a small script unity takes over 5 minutes to reimport the file, then over 5 or 6 minutes to compile, and then a further 5 to 6 minutes to play the game. Anyone else noticed horrible speeds in 2019.4.4? Other versions were much much faster. Basically nobody can code under these conditions…
When it hangs during import nothign appears to happen, cpu sits at 9%, disk does nothing. When you expand the task in task manager it’s not responding, after 5 to 10 mins mins it kicks into life and finishes the import. Then does the same for compiling. And god forbid you had the audacity to change 2 code files… it really can take 30 mins to get back to working. I really miss the days when Unity was not riddled with nightmare bugs.
Upgraded to 2019.4.5f1 with no need to reimport (nice) and the long import/compile/playtime is fixed, YES!..
