2021.1.0b6 - Setting External Tools doesnt stick! (Case 1315984)

Hi Guys

I have both Visual Studio Community and also Visual Studio Code installed.
When switching External Tools in prefererences, and setting it to Visual Studio Code for editing scripts, that setting is only valid for the current session. Next time I start up, it switches back to “Open by file Extension”, and then basically it uses Visual Studio Community by default to open scripts. Switching it then to VS Code, is again only valid for that session, and so the cycle goes on…

From what I can tell this is not a known issue. Could you please submit a bug report for it and reply in here with the issue ID?
