2021.2 Beta 13 Issue Introduced

After migrating from 2021.2 Beta 12 to Beta 13, my game has scrambled graphics around the screen border in all scenes during playback (see attachment).

This is experienced using the Apple Silicon Preview on a M1 Mac mini.

The issue does not exist with Beta 12 and is unique to Beta 13. This was confirmed by reverting back to Beta 12.

Do you also experience serious lag in the editor ? It’s seems this beta broke it all :frowning:

I am experiencing horrible lag in the editor also. I had to revert.

I didn’t use it long enough to confirm if I had lag in the editor. I ran back to beta 12 after seeing all of the graphics scrambled on the screen edges. It was Beta “13” after all :hushed::).

[/quote]Aw no bug report?

A bug report for this issue would be much appreciated.

I too experienced terrible lag in the editor and while running apps starting with beta 13 (beta 12 works fine). It turned out on my system, that beta 13 has a terrible memory leak, about 20MB/sec. After I run anything for a few seconds, my 8GB system starts swapping VM so much that everything comes to a crawl. I opened a bug report last week (case 1368345):

Bug - Runaway memory usage on 2021.2.0b13 - Unity Forum

… but so far I haven’t received any updates on this bug report. Perhaps this is what is causing your lag too.

Same issue occurs with the new beta 14. I’ll submit a bug report over the weekend. Back to stable beta 12 in the meantime.

I just sent a bug report. I’m available to assist at anytime.

Beta 15 has better Editor performance, but the graphical glitch issue still remains. These glitches do not appear in any compiled versions of the project. It’s just a visual issue when previewing in the Editor.
