I’m really missing features that for some unknown reason are now absent in 2023.x
Blend Tree preview: When clicking on a blend tree in the animator, previously in Unity, Blend trees would have a preview animation in the inspector. This no longer appears in 2023.x
Clicking on individual animations brings the preview in the inspector, but clicking the blend tree itself does not.
This used to mean I could scrub between animations of the blend tree and view them in the inspector, and the way they blend. It’s not possible anymore and seems like a major regression.
VFX Graph: Previously (as I have reported previously in this beta forum) I could view Visual Effects in the editor, this has been removed, I need to be in Game view to see any Visual Effects, which makes setting up VFX are major pain.
Also the VFX no longer has a global enable/disable feature. There used to be a an scene editor toggle for, Post Processing, Fog, Skybox, Flares, Clouds, Particle Systems and Visual Effects. Visual Effects no longer appears as an option.
This is super annoying. It causes my CPU/GPU fans to spin up constantly and my power usage and heat all increase when doing anything (even idle in a scene) I now have to disable every Visual Effect manually, and then reenable them before each build.
I don’t really understand the reason for these features have gone missing during 2023.2, and 2023.3 Beta/Alphas, but I do hope they reappear soon, as they seem like major regression to functionality in my workflow.
Anyone?
