2d/3d side scroller character help.

Hi,

First off I am sorry if this is in the wrong section, I couldn’t find a better place to post.

I have been watching tutorials all over and can not find for the life of me a way to create your own character from scratch. Is this something that I can do in unity or do I need to use another programmer.

My end game is to have a half 2d half 3d side scroller. But I want to design my own character as well as the scripts that are used.

If I have to use a different program to achieve this what would it be, If I can use Unity where are the tutorials for that?!

Like I said, I have only been able to find assets, I want to create this from complete scratch. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!

You will need a different programme for art unless you just use the primitive shapes in unity. You can make sprites in paint, paint.net etc & we used blender at school for the 3D models
