2D Animation package tossing errors 2019.2.0a11

How to reproduce the errors: Start a new project and import the 2D Animation package

The “a” in 2019.2.0a11 means that it is an alpha version of Unity, not production ready. There is a big possibility that the package you mention just is not ready to be used in that version.

Yes, that’s why I posted this in the “alpha” forum. To inform them of the issue in case they are unaware.

It really wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t notice… The current “stable” build 2019.1’s 2D animation package doesn’t work with the tilemap editor… (which is the whole reason I decided to see if they fixed it in the alpha build)

Of course they know. It’s the ALPHA version, not even BETA version, not production ready; some things will not work with it until it’s fully developed. And even after that, there will be problems that will need to be fixed.

Right now, we do not have a version of the 2D Animation package that is on the Package Manager server that works for the 2019.2 alpha. We are working on that.

Also, the current 2019.2 alpha does not have the fix for TilemapRenderer with the 2D Animation package unfortunately. I will update the original thread when the fixes do reach 2019.1 and 2019.2.

This will be fixed in Unity 2019.1.2f1 and in Unity 2019.2.0b1.

Sorry, due to a miscommunication, the actual Unity 2019.1 version where it is fixed is Unity 2019.1.3f1.
