2D game very laggy

Hey everyone,

I am not sure what the reason could be, but my simple 2D game is very laggy for mobile… When I run it in the editor on my computer (while it is charging) it runs so smoothly, but when I unplug it from charging, it runs exactly like my mobile device… laggy?

I honestly don’t know what the problem could be. Any help is appreciated

A game that runs at exactly the same frame-rates as my current game is:
Unity Asset Store - The Best Assets for Game Making - (It is a free)

BUT WHY IS THIS? Because games like the real colour switch, have absolutely no lag? If there are some settings to do with graphics that I do not know, please do tell me

Thanks,
Daniel

Well, from what I can understand, you’re running it on a laptop device. If it’s relatively modern, most laptops use the integrated/on-board graphics processor when unplugged to save power, which is usually marginally weaker than the dedicated GPU, and uses the dedicated graphics card when plugged in, as power consumption isn’t much of an issue. I assume this is the problem, as it is with most laptops.

You could play around with your advanced power settings to see what you can do, but as long as it’s plugged in, it should work fine. Hope that solves your problem @OutTheBoxGaming
