2D games and graphic assets, a bit confused.

Pretty new to Unity. So this a really newbee question.

I wan´t to make a PC game (may be ported to mobile). And i am really confused about screen resolutions and such. Should i target 1600 x 900 resolution or is it ok if i make my graphical assets to fit on like a 800x600 screen and just change the resolution at runtime?

My graphical assets are pretty small, like 8-bit graphical. like 100 pixel high. I am really confused on what to do here at the start of my small personal game.

Any advice and suggestion is appreciated.

Make it fit the resolution you’re working in, change resolution on runtime.

Thank you for your reply. So should i just offer one resolution to the user? Do gamers like that? Myself i don´t care about resolution when playing a low graphical game. But when it´s a 3D high end graphics i like to have several options.

Oh, i didn’t mean not to have a choice, just to make a script that can set the resolution on runtime from menu.

Make sure you make your UI to scale with the screen by anchoring the elements to proper anchor positions
