2D image onto cylinder

Hello all, I’m a newbie 3D/Unity user so please forgive me if this is a silly question.

How can one apply a 2d texture (image) to the end of a cylinder? The object I am working with is a flat disc (frisbee like) and I’m trying to put a 2d image onto the round face. My image is a round graphic with a transparent background .png. The mesh seems to be pie shaped pieces, and when I drag the material onto it, I get a very mangled image. Dragging the .png onto a square face works fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

sounds like you need to fix the mesh uvs in a modeling app. it’s probably uv’d with a cylindrical unwrap.

That’s exactly what it was. I did the unwrap in blender and now it looks great. Thanks so much.
