2d platform tutorial blank level

So I install Unity for mac 3.3.0f4, I download the tutorial files. Unzip them, and open the Unity scene file.

Unity complains it’s a Unity 2 version file and it will convert it. After that it opens the scene and the Scene view and the Game view are blank. The window that contains those view is completely blak, not even the toolbar appears.

The project library, and hierarchy are filled with stuff, but clicking on them only updates the inspector, not the scene/game view which remains blank.

Is there something I else I must do?

Try clicking on a object in the inspector view and the hover over the scene window and press f. Also try clicking play to see if the game plays. If that does not work try re-downloading the project from here.
