Note to the moderation team: I don’t know where this belongs, I put it here because some aspects of it concern directly the creation of a project.
So I decided to test the microgames. I installed 2D Platformer Microgame.
After downloading the package, I installed it offline. Everything went fine except that 2D Platformer Microgame is, as its name says, a 2D game but none of the 2D packages were installed. Instead the “Engineering” bundle were. I had to remove Engineering and install the 2D bundle.
I also noticed that:
- the layout contained the “Asset Store” tab, useless,
- for some reason the films that are added to Unity tutorials and projects are .mov but these do not work on Linux. Why don’t you create videos that can be read on every platform?
- lots of packages were installed that were not in use in the project. Why don’t you add only the needed packages to your projects?
- the layout was quite yucky, I reorganised it…
Beside this, the tutorial works rather well.
