Here is my new 2D skater boy game. Only first screen is ready yet.
Any feedback will be appreciated.
His nose and upper lip have some shading on them that doesn’t look right. Consider changing the color.
His eyes staring at me is kind of creepy - make him looking at the nose of his board, or more to the left.
Re-draw his hands completely, except for the left thumb - that one looks good keep that,
Make sure both hands have the same number of fingers. No don’t hide the pinkie finger, if it’s hidden behind the hand show just the tip poking out. And keep all the fingers about the same size except the pinkie.
Correct the bezier hitch on his right knee - just clean it up a little.
His right arm is higher than his sleeve.
The varying thickness of the line weight doesn’t make sense. If you want to have line variance - it doesn’t have to be so drastic - from skin to clothes.
The left inner shirt collar, socks and lower legs do not have outlines. Mixing outline styles like this is alright if there is reason to do it. I don’t see any reason to do it in this drawing beyond separating background and foreground.
What an awesome observer you are…!!
I have this character image from last 2 months, but couldn’t find anything. And art work was done by a freelancer & I have already paid him. So, changing these things is going to be pain for me.
Thank you very much for the feedback.
All freelance artists should deliver source files when job is complete. If you have the file - I’m guessing it is a vector file - maybe .ai illustrator file, you shouldn’t have problems making edits.
If you don’t have the source file it will be a little harder to correct in photoshop but you should be able to fix the eyes, outlines, and hands without too much trouble.
The image for the city has incorrect perspective for all the buildings. All the buildings should have the same vanishing points.
Something that is evident in the first skater picture but I didn’t catch it.
Honestly, I am graphically dumb person.
Can you please explain this ?
This should help.
