3.0 b6 : building in monodevelop doesn't detect errors

when I press the build all button it displays the "build successful’ at the bottom but does not detect obvious errors such as missing ; or non existent variables.

I tried deleting everything unity but aparently the MD config files are located elsewhere - any idea how I fix that?

This is exactly the problem I am having. I tried blowing away the mono directories in .config in my home directory but that didn’t seem to help.

Someone from tech support gave me the fix, the preference for build is set wrong in the subsequent betas.

“The setting you are looking for is in MonoDevelop’s Options in the Unity section under Debugger. The option is called “Build project in MonoDevelop”.”

Thanks!!! I had actually checked preferences but didn’t notice the Unity Debugger section. I wonder why everyone doesn’t have this problem? Anyway, thanks again.
