3.6.1 - macOS Unity Hub Process Hanging on Quit

After the newest release of Unity Hub, my MacBook now hangs when closing out the Unity Hub Process using:

  • “Quit” from the taskbar
  • “Quit Unity Hub” from the application toolbar at the top.

It takes using:

  • “Force Quit”
  • Or pressing one of the 2 methods above two times before it will close out.

This causes my MacBook to hang while trying to shutdown.

Attached is a screen shot of the unresponsiveness.

I think the bug might be wider than this - it appears that the hub refuses to close when macOS tries to shut down, even when it hasn’t hung (I have to remember to manually close the hub, which is easy to forget given the hub window closes after a project is opened).

I have the same issue, it takes quiting Unity Hub twice for it to actually shut down.

3.9.1 and the issue still persists.

Hey folks, we’ve also found this quirk annoying. Due to some critically needed changes to the Hub as certain products and processes we rely on were going out of support, we did not have the time to dive into this as much as we wanted to (even though this bug annoys us, too!)

However, we are working on this one now. We hope to have it landed in the v3.11 update.
