I’m trying to play back STEREO (one file with left eye on top, rigbt eye on bottom) 360 video in unity building to gear vr. I know how to set up a equirectangular sphere to play the video on but I’m stuck on how to make on eye see one video and another eye see the other to create the stereo effect. I’ve done it before when unity would expose left and right eye cameras in editor but now it automatically converts your main camera to stereoscopic vr rendering when vr supported is checked in settings.
You’ll need to create two cameras and assign each a target eye and layer and then put your geometry in each left and right layer. For more details see this post on the Oculus forums.
