3D Agar.io Food not working

I am not sure if I am using OnTriggerEnter correctly but whenever I touch a game object with the tag “Pellet” It is Supposed to be destroyed and I gain 5 mass, but I cant see why it is not working. Heres the code:`

        Destroy(other.gameObject);
        Mass += MassGainedPerPellet;

Did you put the Pellets script on the pellet object? If you did, it would only function if a pellet hit another pellet. Try putting the Pellets script on your character object.
