Hello, I’m an amateur 3D artist, and I use blender. I haven’t been able to learn a lot lately, because I live so far back that I have limited internet usage, and videos take up a lot of that. In about a month, I’ll be moving (unlimited internet, best thing ever, you don’t know how excited I am) and I’ll start watching video tutorials. I’m wondering, how long did it to take you to learn 3D art?
Ive been using Blender3D on and off for the past 3 years now. As of lately ive been really getting back into it for a project of mine. Im no wheres near pro or remotely good. If you have the heart for modeling then it shouldn’t take long. Maybe a good 6-10 months of hard work to be good.
Heres a bulldozer I made a couple days ago. It took about 4 hours to make. I used pictures of old caterpillar tractors as a reference.
everyone is different, it takes different amount of time to learn 3d for different people. For me I got to a decent level in 2 years, doing it in my spare time.
Just keep at it, dont just watch tutorials, do it yourself and make modifications.
