3D Buzz

Today I have a very bad experience with 3D Buzz, because they don’t sell product to Hong Kong. From their forum FAQ:

They classified Hong Kong is PRC (Peoples Republic of China) I believe.

I want to purchase the AI and Maths serious DVD, but I can’t. Anyone from Hong Kong has the same experience as me? I doubt any exists, because game development is an extremely niche market in Hong Kong, and 3D Buzz just blindly believe Hong Kong is same as PRC.

oh~ same here! I was asking Angela about that too, they dont sell to me too = ="

I wanna to bought the Maths and membership even can’t get a steaming version …

but I haven’t ask for the reason, just now I know it …

I PM Angela but she even not check my message. Taiwan is also not on the list, very strange company.

How long ago did you send your PM? Keep in mind that Angela is only a one person and she really does get a lot of customer service related messages. If you still continue to have any problems then you can always PM Zak.

And i also think that it is not very nice to call them a strange company in public forum. This only shows the lack of intelligence and respect on your part. It is up to them how they choose to protect their product.

They cant always please everyone!

EDIT: Since this topic is called 3DBuzz and only contains post from negative experience i thought it would be fair if i post a positive experience.

I was in the Advanced Digital Production class and somehow i managed to lost my FTP password. It was my fault and i sent a PM to Angela explaining the situation and couple of days later i got a phone call from her. She was very nice and i got my password back.

All i want to say is that 3DBuzz made a long distance call to help their customer. Since i live on the other side of the world and they called me during daylight then you can only guess what time it was in USA

I send PM to Angela more than a week but she never read. To me 3D Buzz is a strange company, there is a reason behind that. I never have the same experience on Internet until I reach 3D Buzz. That is my experience, I think I can share my experience no matter it is good or bad, just like you can share your good experience here.

One thing to keep in mind is 3DBuzz is a company ran be a handful of individuals who are extremely talented. There is sometimes a delay in response due to overwhelming demand or personal issues. I have been following their tutorials for years and have been an on and off member several times. I have never had an issue with the company and they have been more than willing to help.

If you want good quality videos, I find theirs hard to beat. The instructions they give are easy to follow and aren’t mundane in their delivery. As for the limitations on where they will ship to, it could be for several reasons including cost. Angella personally ships out all DVDs from their store, not some third party vendor.

I would suggest giving them some time to get back with you before jumping on and posting negative feedback on the company since they have been serving the community for a long time. Hopefully by now you have been contacted, if not I would just send another PM since it could have been lost.

I send 2 PM but no reply.
I believe they ignore any inquiry from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, etc.
Actually I can ask my friends in Singapore or relative in Australia to help me order, but…
3D Buzz don’t sell to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, China…etc. That’s discrimination, period.

3D Buzz is an excellent resource selling wonderful products.

There are IP issues with those countries and it’s not 3D Buzz fault. I have a similar policy: I do not work with any person living in a country where a NDA cannot really be enforced: am I discriminating? No, I’m just protecting my own rights.

You people living in those countries can make your law change, till then… I’m sorry but I fully agree with Zak C.

What exactly is the point of this thread? What do you hope to gain by posting your ridiculous banter on this forum? Do you think the Unity staff can help you with this? Do you think 3DBuzz will change their terms and conditions just cause you give them bad publicity here?

The terms and conditions of 3DBuzz are listed on their store. It clearly states :

It’s their product, and it’s their decision to make. Discrimination? Seriously, get a grip on reality. This thread is about as useful as tits on a bull.

Cheers.

This is the not 3D Buzz and therefore I don’t understand the purpose of this thread. Contact the owners of 3D Buzz by using the various options available on their website. Thread closed.
