3D Game Kit wont download from within unity

As the title explains, I can’t download this asset pack at all from within unity. Downloading any other package from within unity is fine.

I have unistalled, deleted unity from %appdata%, reinstalled, and the error still occurs.

I found a way to do this, it may work for you as well.
open up unity

  • I created a new 3d project
open up the assest store tab
  • if you cant find it, open your explorer and go to the unity website, make sure you are logged into you account on the website.
  • -go to assest store
  • search ‘3D Game Kit’
  • click download - it will ask to open or will auto open unity with an assest store tab open,
  • the page for the 3D Game Kit will be shown
    • click the download button

I have same problem , it seems like there is problem from unity server , everything is ok , I can download the other stuff but not 3d game kit .

I’m having the same problem. Anyone know if they have a fix for it yet or if they’re working on it?

Yeah I have little trouble downloading other assets but can’t get this one

Figure no reason to start a new topic when this one exists already.

Other assets download without problems but I can’t get the 3d game kit to download on my new computer. My old computer did not have a problem.

Anyone have a solution to this?

If I download it from the store then I click Open in Unity and nothing happens. If I download it from Unity, it keeps showing it is downloading but no matter how long I wait it never finishes.

What is different about it from other tutorials? What does it check before it loads that other do not?

Has anybody solve this problem?
In my case, the downloading process cannot be ended!

@wojciechklanowski I’m having the same issue, starts fine but then the download bar starts extending beyond the launcher window. Haven’t been able to find a solution so far

Just in case anyone finds this thread, wanted to share my experience almost 2 years after the original comments. I also couldn’t download the kit, would start and get to 1% and go back to 0%.

Only 45mb of the file ever actually downloaded to the folder. I chatted with support and it was suggested it could be virus or firewall interfering with the download. I turned off all virus and firewall settings and tried again. It got up to 15% and thought I had figured it out, but then it went to 0% again. So I gave up after 2 hours of trying to figure this out.
