Hi, I’ve got a model in Maya that I’m importing into Unity and the rotation and up and down movement of the entire model itself animates properly but the individual limbs don’t move at all. How do I fix this?
Thanks for any help you can give!

To clarify, how are you animating your model? I’m going to go off the assumption that you are using joints to animate the mesh and you are exporting an fbx out of maya and into unity? Usually a good test is to load up an empty scene in Maya and re-import your file to make sure the file itself has all the info. If reimporting the file back into maya shows the same result, then it is an issue with your setup in maya and not unity. Also, perhaps you need to bake your animation to the joints before exporting if you are using IKs. I don’t know if baking keys ever solves anything, but its something I tend to try when I’m unsure whats going on.
Hi Bongo, thanks very much for your help. My corresponding Unity Answers thread found the solution - i just had to bake the animation in the Unity inspector! Simple fix.

I am having this same problem however the Bake Animation box is grayed and won’t let me click, any idea why that is?
