3d person tutorial cant run it in Unity 3?

When I download and open the 3d person tutorial found here

I try to run it within Unity 3 and nothing happens, it seems to freeze on the first screen, I'm I missing something?!

I think this may be down to me being thick, I think all the game aspects are there, but you use the pdf to actually build the game, its not pre built....doh!
