3D Photorealistic Clouds [RELEASED]

Here is my new asset - 3D Photorealisitic Clouds
– Clouds are not volumetric –

Nice. Can you make demo to put many clouds together? Do they zfight?

They do not. The cloud shader has ZWrite off. However, I’d recommend just to put them in a checkerboard pattern (some of them closer to the viewer than other). By doing this you can avoid any intersections(so no zfight for sure) and clouds will look even more 3D

The idea is to reduce the number of intersecting clouds For example, if one cloud moves faster then another and goes through the second one, this may cause a zfight.

Updated. A couple of lags were fixed.
Now you can simply drag the prefabs to the scene and use them.

Is this compatible with Unity 5?

Haven’t tried this one on Unity5.
But anyway I’d suggest you to use this asset instead: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/17994
They look pretty much the same but this one is made by particle system so it’s

  1. Animated(spritesheets are used as particles)
  2. Actual 3d effect instead of parallel slightly curved planes.
