3D sound falloff won't work

I am trying to have the audio source of an object simply work.
The min and max range simply are not having any effect when i move towards the audio object: if pan level is set to 1 I get complete silence and if set lower than that, the sound is constant as if it was a 2D sound.
How ca i get fall off to work?

Can you post a screenshot of your settings? That may provide more clues. Are you doing this in the Flash player?

still no progress, is it so hard making sound falloff work? should happen in a single click.
