We need help with a 3ds MAX animation that would involve animated sutures.
Ideally we would like to use animated splines, but we cannot get these to export to Unity. So we previously used a path deform to have a cylinder deform in compliance with a spline (which we then animated). This does not translate to Unity
Our sutures need to be able to loop in on themselves, and create knots. So the maneuvers are pretty complex. Skinning them would be a pain, as it would require a crazy amount of bones to make it look smooth.
Is there a workaround? We really need the fluidity of the splines to convey proper suture motions.
