Hi there,
I’m working in 3ds max 2017 student version.
I have an idle animation set up for my character. The animation looks great and there are no skinning problems. Whenever i export it as FBX, bake the animation and enable Resample, and i open it up in either 3ds max or Unity, i get some really weird effects. The animation has a couple keyframes that are compeltely off. It creates a very strange jittery effect. Does anyone here recognize this issue. I have NO idea what causes this. (If you need more information, please tell me what i should provide)
I hope someone here can help me, since other forums haven’t been too successful.
Kind regards,
S
Showing a gif or video might be helpful to see the jittery?
Where at - during the animation - is the jitter happening? At the beginning/end where you’d expect the animation to cycle seemlessly?
Please explain better what you mean by “a couple keyframes are completely off”?
Where are these keyframes at - in relation to the entire length of the animation?
Also try to import with resample disabled. See what type of results you get from not resampling the animation.
Okay so, i found out this is an issue with 3DS MAX service packs 1 and 2. I recommend downloading service pack 3 or using 3ds max 2016. Gosh, been working on this for 12 hours straight only to find out it wasn’t even my fault… thanks autodesk!
