3ds max & maya units with Unity 3d

I’m using 3ds max to create my environment and another guy is using maya for characters, so what i’m concerned about is when I import my environment with units set as meters in 3ds max they appear tiny compared to my character which 100 time larger than the building. Both the applications export their respective assets with units set to meters. Is there any fix to this or I have a whole tedious method set which might fix this but its just time consuming.

Also i need to define the metrics for my character movement, for e.g jump=? units, double jump= ? units, how can I determine these factors?

See the scale factor on the Mesh importer.

For your jump, just guess what you want the values to be, and play test until you have settings that work for your game. Maybe assume that one unit in the game is one metre, so perhaps jump is 0.8 and double jump is 1.6.
