I purchased a character pack from 3drt.com (nice pack btw) but need to rotate the character. When I rotate the character in 3ds Max, it quickly pops back into its original rotation when I hit play. Is there a button or menu item or something I need to do in order for the rotation to “stick”?

yes you need to open the the biped settings and adust the character rotation and translation data there… and then replay the animation… hope this helps
The best way will be to create a dummy helper object at 0.0.0 coordinates. Then attach character’s Bip01 bone to that dummy. After that you can rotate and position character wherever you want by moving and rotating that dummy object only.

That worked perfectly. I was the one that emailed you about it. I have since then purchased the male character pack. The packs work perfectly in Unity (after I rotate them).
