For Attrition’s test project : The Informant, we required a GTA 4 style of switching from a moderately far away view to an over the shoulder view, the challenge was, how can we get the hands/gun to follow? Well, i started by using smoothlookat, in the standard assets but discovered that the axis of the bones was facing in weird directions, so then I used empty game objects as guides for the bones to follow and thus brought this :
It needs a lot more tweaking, but it’s the start of something great.
