I just updated a project from 4.2.2 to 4.3 and now the animated figure behaves as if “Apply Root Motion” is checked (it isn’t) — so the figure keeps being sucked to the origin. If I turn off the animation controller, the problem goes away. If I delete the outgoing state transitions, (leaving the character in “idle”) the problem goes away.
Further to this: turning off the transitions does not fix the problem because the figure gets locked in position (and physics stops working) but it does stop being sucked to the origin all the time.

Some of my animations stopped working and I fixed it by reimporting the models, which wasn’t too terrible since I got to check the new “optimize game objects” checkbox for the skeleton which is nice.
