5.3.1p3 - Standalone Not Starting

Previously, in Unity 5.2.1f1, we were able to build and run a Win 64-Bit version of our game that ran with Oculus. We saw, however, that in unity 5.3.1p3 that there were some rendering optimizations we wanted to take advantage of. Yet, when we rebuild the game in the newer version of Unity, the standalone builds wouldn’t start with VR support enabled. We would click on the built .exe, the mouse would get a spinning circle next to it, but then nothing else would happen. I haven’t been able to find any error messages in the Unity log file or in the System logs to indicate what is going wrong.

So, does anyone have any insight into what’s going on or if this is a known issue?

UPDATE: Even turning off VR Support, standalone builds from this version of Unity are not working for me.

To provide an Update to the situation. Falling back to 5.2.1f1, our game was able to run again as a standalone on windows (both with VR support on & off). This, of course, isn’t ideal since newer versions of Unity will have VR optimizations and compatibility with the eventual release of Oculus 1.0 SDK.
