50k polys in 3d program becomes 300k in Unity

Hi there,

My mesh is about 50k polys, but when i import it in Unity is about 300k. Why the discrepancy is so big?

I’ve found the solution, but it is kind weird. I had three directional light in the scene. While deactivated the polycount of the scene lowers to about 97k.

So lights have direct impact on polycount?

Yes, Unity redraws the object again for each light on it.
