9 Million dollar game? Really wow.

Hey guys, this was on Fox News, what’s your opinion on this?
I guess it’s true about how the government works 50 thousand dollars for a toilet seat, 25 grand for a hammer. Right? LOL.

Ha ha. Gotta like that closing sentence…

The CDC blames time spent in front of screens as a major contributor to obesity.

Sounds like something Fox would run a “news” article on. :stuck_out_tongue:

It also seems like they changed the focus somewhat…

LMAO yeah hahaha.

HAHA yeah that made me laugh, I caught onto the irony fast like when it said that.
They complain about the problem and add to it LOL.

The article is about government nanny stating and taxpayer money being wasted, not a videogame… /rolleyes. Fox running this tiny blog post about it not even as news is fine… not sure how you think that is a news piece.

Hahaha and the game looks like crap…

Yeah for 9 Million dollars? I would at least expect the newest technology that would obliterate Unreal and Cryengine like they were an SNES game for 9 million dollars lol.

You’d need a lot more than $9 million to obliterate Unreal and Cryengine. You should still be able to make a decent game with an existing engine, though.

Hey that’s good money if you can get it, although a true indie would have done it for the food stamps alone!

Yeah that is true, didn’t think about it like that, you see these engines selling for 100K and stuff, I didn’t think about the cost of making them though, I could see it being in the millions sense they are charging out the a**, unless it’s just because they know they can do it for the sake of a monopoly at this point time LOL.

Wow lol.

Man, this is just so retarded. I’ll just go back to being an ignoramus and pretend like nothing ever happened junto assure myself that there is still some hope left in mankind.

The website states the game will be released in 2007. So is Fox criticizing the Bush government?

Also, it mentions that it is part of a scientific study involving the Baylor College of Medicine and that the game will first be used as part of some trials on students. Could it be that the $9M were invested into a bigger project to find ways of combating obesity in children, with the game being only a small part of it?

Oh wait, European here, I don’t know proper procedure. Am I supposed to just read the text provided in the news piece and then spin my own corruption theories based on it?

No, no, no. Your own theories? Fox “news” doesn’t want you thinking anything for yourself! I’m sure one of their talking heads tells you how you are supposed to feel about this game if you dig deep enough. Thinking for yourself is dangerous!

Glad to see this degraded into stupid ass red vs blue bickering.

The lowest realm of intellectual discussion is political discourse. Technically you’re still talking about people not ideas.
