I am making some updates to my animated characters in Maya, and much to my chagrin, the only way it seems I can get these new animations into Unity is to import this newly exported FBX as it’s own asset, replace the old prefab with the new, drag and drop all the scripts on him, rearrange the hierarchy to match the way it was, and reconnect all of the animations in the Animator tab. Basically, do everything from scratch each time. Surely there is a way to just refresh the FBX and get the new animation?!?
Unity auto-imports changed assets…
So what am i doing wrong if when i save a new file, overwriting the old, it doesn’t have the new animation in it?
