A few newbs questions: maya importing, please help

Hi guys, I’ve been building a terrain with maya. When I finished modeling a structure in maya and saved it to a project folder in unity, a few problems occurred.

  1. part of the structure is made by CV curve tools, and it appeared that these curves disappeared/invisible after being imported to unity.

  2. I added the color/texture in maya, and only a few is showing as well. Is it possible to make texture from file works when importing to unity?

I believe that Unity only deals with polygons, so other geometry types (Nurbs, Curves) wont be imported.

You are right. I haven’t used maya in a while, but I believe you can convert those objects to polygons. Do that before you export and I believe it should fix it. If not it will at least eliminate one possible problem. Keep us updated!

Also, what format are you using to bring your objects over?

I just saved it to a .ma file in the project folder and drag it out.
