A good smartphone (Android) to pratice game design.

So guys, I don’t know very much about phones, but appears that if you want to start your indie carrer (Sorry my bad english) smartphones is a good start.
So i want an android, why?
Iphone is too expensive in my country( Brazil) its something like 1000$ (2000BRL) i cannot afford that right now.
I heard about galaxy S3 but is 800$ here O.o, so i want a cheap android smartphone, you guys know one good? one that atleast can run the GTA/Deadspace (Using those games to refer hardware).

Sorry for my bad english again, I am counting on you. i can afford something like 400$.

If phones are that expensive over there, you’re simply going to have to buy something used. Any high end phone will cost around the same. A galaxy s2 might be decent enough for what you’re looking for.

EDIT: I just thought of the Nexus 4. Its pretty cheap and very good, look it up.

The newer sony phones are good.

Samsung Galaxy S2. I own one and i can assure you that its a top notch mobile phone.

IPhone 5 is 1000$ here too. Apple suck at pricing for everyone other than 'murica :L

Go for a used S2 or a used iPhone if you would like to develop for iOS, you could probably get a 4 for around 400$

I have a Galaxy SIII, and its working out pretty well for me.

You can get Iphone 4(s) on ebay for $300, depends though. My iPhone 5 was only $520 canadian.

You can buy an iphone 4(not 4s) for about $500 on mercado livre,nexus 4 is too expensive try to buy RAZR i it’s the one with the best price here

And windows phone 7/8? they are quite cheap now… good enought?

They’re not nice if you want to create games,andoid/ios have a bigger market,unless you want to use the lack of popularity as a tool to help you(creating clones of android/ios games that aren’t ported to windows phone for instance) it’s not a good idea.

quite cheap, and in a “Big” store site, in mercado livre should be cheaper.

Android 4.0 and is 1000Brl, a little expensive but affordable.
What you guys think about?

I’d choose galaxy only cos of android but lumia seems be a really nice phone(I think I will buy one for personal use haha)
