i started a endless running game , in which player moves straight . After googling , i felt that i must move the world and player must be static. but , i have a little confusion.
I was planning to drop some stones from the side mountains on to the player . If my world moves , than for stones , the same movement rule apply ?? (both toward player with the world and downward from mountain) … if my stones are rigidbody acting under gravity , then what should i do in that situation ??
just my opinion but i would move the character with the camera following the character.
if you plan to use physic systems eg stones, that would make sense.
I think he’s worried that he will reach the limit of the Vector3 used for translation, As the floating point number deviates further from zero it will also lose precision…
nindim is correct, I just checked that when my z axis position reaches to 25000 unity gives warning for loosing floating precision and nothing comes in the camera . So , whats the solution?? As my runner is always running straight .
You can e.g. check when first object reaches over 10000 in that problematic axis, and then subtract 10000 from every gameobject that is also moving in that same axis.
