A little problem: bad character skinning. PLEASE HELP!!

Hey guys,

I made a character in maya and skinned it using smooth bind. There is a little problem:
In some parts of the character I have these ugly looking parts which are all very blocky in the bending.
To show you what I mean, I dropped a little YouTube vid below:

As you can see, the skin paint is quite smooth. When I rotate the joint, it’s all blocky and ugly looking
under the arm. I guess because i should spread the skin paint a bit more out. The problem I get then,
is that too much of the character is getting rotated, which makes it look weird.
Can someone help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Looks to me like other bones further down the arm are influencing the underarm also? click through them too to see if theres any additional white areas. BTW doing this kind of thing is standard procedure when skinning - you’re on the right track.

So it would be a good move to paint the part by full weight for the bone as shown in the vid and then paint the same area with less weight to the other bones?
