A Mecanim Character Falls/Lays on the Ground

I need your help because the following problem stands in front of me for a second time on one and the same project. Nowadays I’m playing with mecanim animations and rigging. I’ve liked the model from a random tutorial in Youtube, the blue one you’ll see it and I’ve rigged it in Blender. For this purpose I tried to configure my own rig at the first time but on the second used pre-made (hopefully it’s the right phrase  ) humanoid rig, again from blender. Both seemed to work fine. I used those tuutorials:

(at the first time)

(at the second time)
On both I used MY model not the ones they use in the videos… and the same problem appeared twice.
After setting the animations and their transitions in the Animator Controller the character '‘falls on the ground’, as you can see below. My first try was worse but with the second tutorial I could make it run the cycle - indle - run - walk twice or three times and at a romantic moment when I hit Play the character was laying in the strange T-pose IN the ground but there was still a possibility to move him, on the X axis, as the whole movement in the project below is set to work just on the x axis. I tried to Ctrl+Z and to simply rotate him but neigther have helped me. Undo-ing does not affect this behaviour at all, rotation done it’s job in scene view but in play mode failed also. The animations pack I use is RAW Mocap Data for Mecanim by Unity…idk, help me somehow .

P.S. An extra question. On the second try before the same bug appeared as I said, I was able to run a full cycle of movement but they weren’t looped. The guy from the tutorial was using a pre-done model with pre-done animations and when clicking a ‘clip’ he was able to switch on Pose Loop. But as I’m using only a model how can I attach to loop the animations from RAW Mocap to it as it doesn’t allow me.

Be sure that you’re generating an avatar for your character, and that the model’s rig settings matches your type of animations. Also be sure you’re putting your character’s avatar in the avatar slot of your Animator component. Try Legacy, Generic, and Humanoid rig settings with your animations. It’s a tricky business. If that doesn’t work for you, message me and perhaps you can screenshare via skype or something. I’ll help the best I can. Goodluck!
