A New Zombie Survival Game Development .

Hello everyone , this is a thread about a new zombie survival game dev based on weapon customization and crazy tech , for the moment i’m modelling the weapons and characters , i’ve animated two weapons with a lot of add on parts ( attachments ) . i’ve made zombie anims and player anims , all what i’m missing is some help form unity 3D users and dev , i’m looking for a noob teachers for unity 3d , as i am . Also i’m looking for suggestions and prepositions , so i can develop my game of course with your help ! i hope your get interest by the game idea dev So you can help . Gys i don’t need votes a lot , i need replies . please help !

Well the art and animations look great, but why do you want to do a zombie survival game? I only ask because the market is quite flooded with those. Your art and animations are top notch, if your going to go survival maybe add a system in thats totally not seen in zombie survival games. Good luck either way.

Yeh , i know that the market or youtube is full of unity3D zombie survival games , but they’re not finished , mine will be different , ( cooler style , awesome graphics and weapon textures , weapon costomization … ) , all what i want is a few weeks so i can start development on the 27 of may 2016 . btw can you tell me how did you find this thread , cuz i thought that it was dead or somethiing like got deleted , and also can you give me an idea ?

I found it by browsing the WIP, I tend to randomly check for new and cool things. I do enjoy survival games and your art is very good, animations are too. As for ideas, I would say make sure the inventory system is really smooth. I’ve played far to many survival games with clunky inventories, and since you’re going zombie, go all out zombie. Many types of them (excluding dogs), I would like a zombie game where they are the main threat and the other players need to work together. Also not sure if your going with building but I would limit that to something like a defensive style system, where you take premade structures and reinforced the doors and windows. Something like that would feel much more real, compared to a game like 7 days to die (great game), where those zombies rip through houses and stuff like they’re on steroids. Anyways that’s just a few things i would do if I were working on a game like this.

This is stunning. I absolutely love the weapons. How long did they take and are you using Substance tools by chance? I love the Allegorithmic toolset as a whole. But either way, this is awesome. Good luck!

Thanks Bro , each weapon took me a while from 1-3 days cuz they are in a high-poly format , now i’m working on the low-poly format . i’m using substance painter as a texturing tool , it’s great , awesome and i love it’s working system . thnks again

Well I would avoid the dogs, unless they aren’t over powered. If you can continue with the great art and animations you have, give players a reason to work together I think you’ll have something people will enjoy. Then add stuff after you have the basics in.

It looks like the player is looking from his neck. Maybe you can get the right camera position by actually put the camera in the right eye position, or between the eyes…

Bro , as i said , it’s not the final render of the game , it’s just a blender render of my new textured FPS hands and the first weapon " AK-12 " , just to see how my game will look like , i’ll fix the camera later , but thnks for the reply , have a good day :wink:

This is absolutely amazing.Are you a single person working on this game or is it a team. These graphics and Animations look too good.I wonder how much time it took for 1 person to create all of this.

Thnks Budy , for the moment i’m a single person working on this game project , it took me about 4-5 months to make all of this ( Different zombie anims , 6 anims and more " knife , AK-12 , pistol , grenade , ammobox and medkit " and finally the character’s anims )

How did you get these graphics??? Some of the best I have seen… Ever. What type of shader are you using and how do you render the models?

Bro , i texture my models with substance painter version n°2.0 with a different shader ,i use smart-material with some generators and some modifications , the shader that i’m using in blender is a self-made one to render my models and give inspirations ,to people , i render the models using cycles render . :wink:
