hello I have a big annoying problem. I made a hockey player type model in maya 2010 and rigged and skinned it and also animated it (one body, one helmet and head and stick). then I saved the file and in unity3d 2.5 I imported it as a new asset. now in unity, I have the head, helmet, body and the stick. all of tem have their own mesh but the body doesn't have a mesh and when i check the small preview window it says 0 verts, 0 tris so technically the mesh of the body did not import. what is the problem here and how can i fix it?
Without further details, it may simply be a case that you need to re-export the model from maya and reimport it to Unity. You can also try different formats, I usually use 3ds format even when using blender because it seems to import better.
is the model over 65,000 polys? If so thats your problem.
