A Question about MMO

Hi everyone, the question i have is:
If i want to make a MMO game and at first i make the game for single player, is it possible to set it after it’s done to multiplayer with login to a server?

Yes.

ok thks 4 the answer, but if i make everything in game client, what role will the server have other then lobby for client connection? for example, if i set spawnpoints + spawntime for a NPC in the single player target, can i move them to be part of the game server config?

yes, the more you move to the server, the more ‘cheat free’ your game will be.
you just have isolate the parts that are critical in your game and rewrite that code server wise.

Judging by these questions though, you are nowhere near ready to make any sort of MMO. Try smaller to start!

MMO, ofc i’m far from it now, cuz i’m still working on the game, but i’m new to this kind of things, game engine, 3d, 2d, game programing and i’m working by myself so everything is going slow, with the exception of the server/networking part that will be done by a friend that’s somekind of expert in security of servers/networking. For now i’m offering a job for a 3d artist + game programer that will be paid 10% from the income of the game for one year, if he decide to stay after, np with me. :slight_smile: If anyone is interestedm PM me .
