I built it inside the third person networking scene, in the hope that it might “just work” as a multiplayer scene…But I really dont know how networking actually works, so no warranties there…
You can switch characters with 1,2, and 3 keys.
Please check it out, (and sorry if the motion blur seems a bit much, I love the effect, but it seems to be a bit all or nothing.)
Thanks UT for the pro demo-from a user perspective, the power of Unity only really opens up when you see what pro can do. Then its really really amazing.
Sorry Big Daddy, which game might you be referring to? I don’t seem to recall making any ball touching games. >.> Sorry though, I’m out of troll food, so I must leave this topic.
Yeah, the guy was just being rude and there was nothing worth reading. You can tell by the replies above he was well out of line in a way that won’t be tolerated.
Hey Emil, if you do a search for Kaydara on turbosquid, you can find a bunch of really cool free mocap files that work nice with cheetah. Hey its great to see you on the cheetah forum too btw.
I like the whole game art pipeline except when it comes to animation. I enjoy the realism that mocap brings but I find hand keyframing a chore (especially if you want it to look good!)
Heres some hand keyframed animations(Unity 1.6.2 webby)
So I hassle Martin about .bvh support from time to time.
BTW has anyone here tried the daz studio fbx exporter for converting .bvh files into .fbx? Im thinking about buying it to open up a better mocap pipeline. It would be nice to know if it works…
@HiggyB, dont ip addresses get reassigned automatically each time you connect to the internet?
Id like to know what this guy said-it seems weird to get a personal attack-my scenes not that bad. Is it? It does run quite slow but thats just the nature of realtime shadows.
Hey Hans, cheers for the comments.
So who TF was this Daddylonglegs character I wonder?

PS Im still totally loving Unity, I scored this imac with a dodgy lcd($300). Ive added an external monitor(adapter cable ripped me another $50), and now my scripts compile 10x faster! (Still using Unity trial until I get my .ilf file sorted)The only thing is apple forgot to add a modem plug, so I still have to have the G4 running to check emails…So my studio still sounds like an airplane…
That would be one step forward one step backwards wouldnt it?
All I am gonna say about the cough person that got banned is “BYE”. hahahahaha This awesome community really does not need people like that.
Ok I took your little project here for a spin. Not bad at all man, of course as I am sure you know, there is a long way to go, but alas it is a solid start. One thing I will ask . . . . request…no . . BEG FOR, is please remove that motion blur, it made me queasy … lol a little.
All in all with some more time, and some spit n shine, you will have a cool little game on your hands
I will be keeping an eye on this one. Also if this was nothing more than a test, well done it is cool.
I am hoping to get my hands on a full license of pro myself. As it has some sexy features that really do make a world of visual difference for sure. Currently though I am a proud indie license holder
