Criticism is criticism. 
But as to that, I’d say the island isn’t that interesting in itself - it’s mostly flat, a single texture, and no changes in lighting (shadows). Adding shadows could help a lot - since objects almost like they are floating on the island. Just make the island itself more interesting if it’s going to be the “center island” in this game.
