Imo, the ram is too small - but this technology is exciting. I love 3ds and Steam even more. Linus didn’t go over battery life though, that’s concerning.
“20% of it being lost in the time we were playing the game”. So… it’s not going to last long.
Being an Atom-based system it could be that anything that requires more than 4gb is just going to be too taxing to run. That said, I agree it’s a neat looking little system - basically a netbook with a game controller built in. Considering how handheld gaming consoles are going these days that could be a pretty darn nice option when you factor Steam’s huge library in. It won’t keep up with demanding titles, but there’s still going to be plenty it can play, and if it’s gaming on the go that you want… neat!

I worry it won’t sell and a revision will never happen - but if it did I imagine variant 2 or 3 could be really worth it. A majority of Steam titles I play could run on this thing, so I’d be a happy customer.
